I have really been enjoying your mural at the Oklahoma State Fair. It has been getting lots of use. I go by there 3 times a day and there is always a crowd. My favorite part is photographing kids (and adults) from behind the mural. They get into all sort of predicaments trying to get low enough to get their head through the holes.

Yes, I can paint a mural on a treated wood fence. As far as how long it will last probably depends on whether or not the mural faces the sun (south or west sides) because of fading. That is about as much info as I can give you. There are so many variables. Especially here in Oklahoma where the weather is so harsh and extreme. But as far as painting on that particular surface, it would be no problem for me at all. :-)
